Automotive madness

Yesterday we had the annual Ferrari meet at the airbase. Great weather and even better cars. One of my colleagues at work enjoyes his Italian machinery when he's not doing his daily job of flying the good old F16 and brought out his 1973 365 GT4 2+2, epuipped with V-12 motor and an 8-track sound system (which you don't really need when you hear that thing rev up). A course was set out all over the base and amongst 60 to 70 other cars we had a couple rare ones like a 288 GTO, a 512BB, and an F40 which competed in the Mille Miglia a couple times. What an awesome experience it was to make a couple 200 Mph runs along the runway in this machine!! Riding shotgun that was........... More on the 365, the F40, and probably some other Italian race machinery in a couple weeks.
